To one group of people, snow is a hassle. It’s an unwelcome side effect of the winter season. It complicates transit and causes school cancellations.
To another group of people, snow is reason for celebration. Skiers anticipate when the a big storm might come so they can get off work and head to the mountains.
Living in Delaware, the feeling was that snow was a problem. Whereas, I’ve found people in New England are more of the latter variety and it adds a spice to life. There’s an energy around snow and how much fun it brings.
They say to dance in the rain rather than waiting for it to pass. Luckily the same sentiment holds true when the temperature is below freezing, too.
