Don’t we?
Then how do we spend 12 years of education avoiding the discussion?
How do we relegate purpose finding to after school clubs, gap years and college?
If we know that purpose makes people happier, healthier and more likely to succeed in life, why isn’t it a more central theme in everything education does?
Luckily, just by having the conversation and taking interest in a young person’s purpose, they start to experience some of the positive effects. Don’t be afraid to ask kids about their dreams. They all have them and they’re waiting for an invitation to tell you.
