“This time is different” arguments are dumb and pointless. Every time someone will say this time is different and every time they’re 100% right, but it doesn’t matter!

Every time is different. Failed technology introduced in 2014 might take off in 2017. The multitude of factors that influence this are too vast. This time is different because every time is different.

This time is this time. It makes little sense to map 2014 onto 2017 and point out a few things that make it distinct. There are millions of small differences that make this time its own time.

Don’t view opportunity through the lens of what it looked like last time. View the opportunity through the lens of how looks it looks right now. This time is always different and this is the right time for you to make it happen.
