For a while my brother and I could not convince my mom to take this one ski trail.
She didn’t like glades.
We reassured her that it wasn’t steep, or covered with as many trees as a traditional glade. This glade was open and forgiving.
She still wouldn’t budge.
And then something magical happened:
My cousin said, “It’s really a trail with a few trees in it.”
“Okay,” she said.
And we were off down the mountain to go ride the trail!
All of our talk about how it’s not really a glade, and how it’s a super easy glade didn’t get through. But when you call it a trail with a few trees in it, that evokes an entirely different image.
It’s no surprise my cousin is a high performer in his sales job.
Amazing what a different perspective can do.
