The people who buy new iPhones are often the same people as the ones who buy Teslas, and apple watches, and many other new inventions.
You could start a host of businesses following along a day in the life of one of these people finding inconveniences and making them into products. Each one brilliantly branded and easy to subscribe to.
But more interesting would be to follow someone with an old iPhone, an old car, who doesn’t go on Product Hunt, or know what Y Combinator is, and see what problems they have. And see how they find solutions.
It would be easy to say they’re not looking for solutions or they would have found the right tool. But it’s more likely that the solutions we thought were perfect actually don’t work for everyone.
The tech early adopters are easy. It’s the next group that is underserved.
