How could we make solving big problems a more high status behavior?
Not just donating to a museum, or a university, or a hospital. But actually putting your name and brand behind solving a tough social problem.
It’s helpful to donate to a nonprofit, but it’s another level of commitment to dedicate engineering talent, design talent and business expertise to understanding systems in the way an organization like Amazon, Google or Microsoft might approach them.
There is a massive opportunity awaiting the world at the intersection of government, nonprofit and business leaders. If we can slowly nudge the world toward rewarding and celebrating big social innovation, we could end up where we need to be.
