Andrew Warner, host of the Mixergy podcast, has a couple reframes for people thinking about podcasting.
Some may say that he “keeps his past shows behind a paywall.”
He would take issue with two words in that sentence:
1. An interview podcast with entrepreneurs is not a “show.” It’s not entertainment. It’s education! It’s learning. It’s “a course.”
2. Yes, you have to pay for old shows. Why do we call it a “paywall?” We don’t say that chipotle has a paywall when we buy a burrito. We’re not shocked when someone charges us for their time, products and services.
Thought provoking reframes. What are you doing that could be reframed to be made more effective?
