The problem isn’t that most people are looking for solutions and not finding them. The problem is that most people are not seeing when there is a problem.
Once you can recognize problems and see inefficiencies, then your mind will naturally start thinking of solutions.
There are dozens of tactics for becoming a better problem-solver and a more creative thinker, but none of them matter unless you see the problem. Learning those strategies is a way to hide before you do the difficult work of seeing problems worth solving.
Start to notice annoyances. Record problems in a journal. Smart people know that problems are just opportunities waiting to be seized.
