Ramit Sethi started iwillteachyoutoberich.com when he was in college and he’s grown it into an online learning company that does millions in revenue each year.
He charges $1,000 for an online course. Hundreds, if not thousands of people pay for it. AND it’s 200% worth it. It pays itself off and if it doesn’t then you can ask for your money back.
Sounds like a pretty good gig for Ramit, right? Just record some video lectures, post them online and wait for people to pay. Not exactly.
Ramit is a freak (in a good way). I heard him speak recently and he talked about how he keeps a Google doc of all the people he’s met in a year. He keeps track so he can measure his results. This is the kind of next-level stuff that makes Ramit great and in turn allows him charge what he does.
He’s also an avid tester. He will test different versions of stories and different wordings of headlines to constantly improve the material he’s putting out. His success is admirable, but behind it are dozens of habits that make him great.
What kinds of habits are you cultivating to bring you to the next level?
