Project based learning is a trendy phrase in education for good reason. We live once a project based world now.
Life has always been a series of projects. Some short like making dinner. Others longer like renovating your kitchen. But now, more and more people’s work looks like projects, too.
Creating the marketing campaign, launching a program, coding a new feature, building a product, the list goes on. It’s easier than ever to define projects to work on, write a proposal and get paid to do what you’re good at.
When we teach young people to launch and manage projects, we give them a fundamental skill that is universally relevant. Not only in a traditional job, but as the economy continues to shift, they will be more prepared to take it project by project. Building a portfolio and reputations that will soon stand alone as they create careers we could never imagine.
