Default to “Yes”
From the very first interaction I had with this concept of “Dual School,” the people in charge defaulted to “yes.” We welcomed possibility and the raw creativity that comes from listening to people’s ideas and carrying them out.
Be one of a kind
Know what exists, and use that knowledge to create something new that you believe in. Stay self aware enough to know when it’s working and when it’s not. Become special by listening to your users more than anyone else dares to.
Share the work
You never know who is watching. Post online. Write stories. Make videos. Invite people in. If the work isn’t seen by others, it may as well not exist.
Experiment rapidly
We knew we didn’t know what we were doing at the beginning. We still don’t really know. We tried things quickly and cheaply to find traction wherever we could.
