The meanest comments on medium.com are from people who have published no stories!!
They’ve added no value, yet they need to tell you that your work isn’t good enough.
Someone the other day commented on the fact that I spelled “Michelangelo” wrong in my article about daily habits. She suggested that I make a habit of editing my work, going to a museum or reading a book.
Sheesh.
It sucks to see a mean comment on your blog post, but this was so unnecessarily rude that it’s laughable. Sure, I wish I were better at editing, but who doesn’t make a typo every now and then? I spent my weekend writing a long article hoping to help people live a better life and she’s telling me to forget about it and make sure my work is perfect.
Some people sign up for the new platform just to pick fights with people. It’s sad, but true.
It’s easy to see on medium, but harder in real life. But these people exist everywhere. They aren’t creating anything, yet they criticize those who are. Don’t let them stop you from changing the world.
