“Humpday! Half way through the week. Can’t wait for Friday, am I right?” the man says to his dog.
The dog doesn’t reply.
“So, did you get a lot done today?”
Again, no response.
“You ready for dinner?”
The dog jumps, bouncing off the cabinets, licking its lips eagerly.
Animals don’t think about the week as a series of seven days. They don’t judge themselves and the quality of their days by how much they accomplished. They look forward to meals, build relationships and lay low. I think there’s a lesson in there for humans. We are animals after all.
