At its core, entrepreneurship is about problem solving. Lucky for all of us, so is life. The way that we take on challenges by asking questions, brainstorming solutions and gathering feedback applies everywhere. I encourage you to apply this process wherever you end up this summer. Now here are a few big ideas to keep in mind.
Don’t be intimidated by an entrepreneurial “leap of faith”
Just because you have an internship this summer doesn’t mean passion projects go on hold. Work on something for 20 minutes a day. It doesn’t have to be long, but do one thing each day that you love.
Great processes will lead to great outcomes
Keep doing the right things. Continue to ask questions, find solutions and contribute to the world. If you keep working hard and stay curious, the opportunities will come.
Make things that you’re proud of. Keep creating. Whether it is companies, writing, paintings or anything in between.
No one knows what they’re doing
One of the most common phrases that Free Lunch Friday speakers say is, “Fake it till you make it.” There must be something to this advice. If you wait until you’re ready, you’ve waited too long. You’re never going to feel ready.

If you dream of learning a language, start now. If you want to travel, set aside the time, put it on the calendar. If you want to enjoy life, don’t wait. Things that you save for “later” are things that never happen.
Use what you’ve learned here and the connections that you have made to pursue your dreams.
You’ve learned a lot this semester. I encourage you to reflect on this experience and how you’ve grown. Over the summer some of you will be transitioning from younger members to older members. There will be many new members next fall and the people like you will become even more important. You will show them the way. You are the model members that make this club amazing.
We all have an incredible opportunity in front of us. The wildly successful speakers that we bring in all wish they had a space like this when they went to school. We’re a step ahead. By being here, you are setting yourself up for great things. The people in this room are going to do amazing things. Appreciate each other. Dream big.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Zack, well said. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you this semester. I’ve only been working here since January, but I continue to be amazed at all the great work you and the other students do here at the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship. I look forward to the privilege of working with you and teaching you in the Fall. Vince
