Five minutes talking to the right expert could lead to more insight than ten hours googling in isolation. That’s a foundational belief of Dual School that allows our students to launch projects quickly.
It feels safe to do some research for a week. Then send some emails the second week. Then set up a meeting in the fourth week. By the time you’ve had that meeting, a month has gone by and minimal insight has been gained. Instead, frontload the hard part. Reach out to experts from day one and ask for just a few minutes of their time.
Learn how to ask the right questions and let them point you in the right direction. They are immersed in your problem space. They’ve done the research so now you don’t have to. You can tap into their knowledge base and get an answer to the specific question you have.
Find experts early and let them light the way forward. Even the busiest people can lend five minutes.
