If you’re not happy with what you have, you’ll never be happy with what you get.
When you were an infant didn’t you desperately want to walk?
When you were in school, didn’t you desperately wish to play?
When you were in kindergarten, didn’t you desire to be in 1st grade?
When you were 8, didn’t you wish you could be as cool as the 10 year olds?
When you were 10 didn’t you wish you could finally turn 13?
When you turned 13, didn’t you wish you were in high school already?
When you got to high school, didn’t you wish you could drive?
When you could finally drive didn’t you crave the freedom of college?
When you were in college didn’t you just want to be 21?
When you turned 21 didn’t you desire to go out and start making money?
When you got your first job, didn’t you want to get a better job with better pay?
When you got a better job, didn’t you desire to start your own company?
When you started your own company and grew it for years, didn’t you desire to sell it so you could finally retire?
When you finally retired, didn’t you wish you could be back at the beginning?
Didn’t you wish you could play? Didn’t you wish you could be a kid again?
The wishing never stops. No matter what comes, your attitude won’t change unless you decide to change it. Appreciate every stage for what it is: another step on a wonderful journey.
