I often picture this data future where everything flows as easily as an email flows through the internet in 2019. And when you think about that future, the fact that we’re still using google forms and paper surveys makes it feel like we’re still so early in how we collect data.
Now the obvious caveat here is that Facebook, Google, etc.. are collecting unimaginable amounts of data about us without our knowledge. Yet the local non profit who struggles to get funding is stuck wrangling young people to fill out a ten minute survey.
There’s a future where the data comes easily. Not just to giant tech companies, but to the people and organizations who need it most.
