There’s some amount of confidence mixed with ignorance that leads people to start new things. For the most part, you have no idea how challenging it will be to create something from the ground up.
If you weren’t confident, you probably wouldn’t try it. But if you were also completely aware of how challenging it is, you might not try it either.
There’s some optimal level of confidence and ignorance that leads people to start new organizations. Both emotions can be detrimental in large doses. What keeps them in check is self awareness.
The ability to sense how things are going and adjust the course is critical. Confidence and ignorance may get you in the game, but they won’t keep you in it for long.
