Schools will never change until people change the way we view youth.
At best, people see youth as recipients of knowledge, and, at worst, they are seen as a problem to be solved.
We are so far away from shifting to the correct view that youth hold the answers to the problems.
Until we start thinking of youth as problem solvers instead of problem creators, school will not change in the way we need it to change.
People won’t be able to make the transformations needed to reimagine what learning looks like if they haven’t first changed the way they view youth.
Young people have insights and can solve challenging problems. They are just waiting for the structures and supports to make it happen.
