Since the question of “what’s your passion?” stumped me for years, I have a soft spot for alternatives ways to look at this conundrum. I heard a great one today courtesy of Liz Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love and Big Magic.
Don’t follow your passion, follow your curiosity.
She says to stop feeling stuck trying to find that one, golden passion that you’ve been waiting for. Instead, explore your curiosity. Do things that are interesting to you. Stay true to your curiosity and you’ll be excited to wake up each morning to find something new.
David Kadavy, a podcaster, author and entrepreneur has the same advice. He prioritizes curiosity. David is constantly acquiring new skills and leveling up.
Maybe there’s something to it. Follow your curiosity and see where it takes you.
