I’m curious about what books people read. I think books say a lot about a person’s interests because books are a choice (if you’re not in school.) I asked some family members and some strangers about what book they are reading and why.
My sister: Feed – A book about a dystopian society in the future. Though, she was “not quite sure” what was going on in it.
My brother: Historical fiction book about a boy that is around his age. A lot of his friends said that the book wasn’t good, but he actually liked it because the story was from a long time ago, but was still similar to kids that are his age now.
My Step-Mom: Reading all of the books that her kids have been assigned in school so that she can better understand them and discuss them with the kids.
Lady on Delaware Express Shuttle: Books by a Harvard biologist (whose name she could not recall) about evolutionary biology theories
Lady on Plane: A book about historical fashion during the Civil war period. She’s interested in how fashion influences perceptions of people, especially throughout history.
